Have you ever felt like there just has to be more to this Christian life thing? Jesus said He came to give us “life and life abundant,” right? I don’t know about you, but I spent a lot of time not really feeling like my life was very “abundant.” I was blessed, but empty. It wasn’t until the Lord took me behind the veil at various seasons of my life and revealed truth to me in fullness that I started experiencing this “abundant life” in which Jesus talks. And now, I have been called to share with you truth about living the “abundant life” in Christ.
After spending over a decade pursuing a career in the direct sales industry and looking back at that time, I am so thankful for the years I spent working as a consultant. It allowed me to stay at home with my children while they were little while still earning an income to support our growing family.
It gave me personal and professional growth. After rising to the top 5% of my company earning trips and top company awards, woke up one day and thought, “What am I doing to make a difference on this planet, Lord?”
My clients, customers & team members would say I was a blessing to them. I enjoyed what I did. It was a great company with many fringe benefits. I was really good at my job, but in the midst of my success, I heard the Lord softly say, “It’s time for something else. I have different dreams for you, my dear.”
In summer of 2017, I spent a weekend at a silent retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani in Trappist, KY. I was in the midst of a medical crisis and desperately seeking the Lord’s will for recovery. There was a tumor on my vocal fold and speaking was growing more and more difficult. I was told some pretty unacceptable news by the doctor that year. All of which went directly against my destiny in the Kingdom of God. He called me to teach and preach God’s Word! And the doctor wanted to remove my vocal cords. Um… no.
The weekend was spent in silence. It was blissful. While quietly sitting in the garden, I experienced the Lord’s gentle hand. “Create a teaching ministry,” He said. Finally, after almost 2 decades, I surrendered to the call of ministry.
The process of closing up my direct sales business began and this teaching ministry launched in the spring of 2018. My desire remains to help Believers thrive in their faith walk. Not just survive, but thrive. I want to teach people their identity in Christ, who God is (and isn’t) and how the Holy Spirit is an active partner so that you can live out this “abundant life” in a daily reality.
As Watchman Nee talks about in his book “Sit Watch Stand”, I want to teach you how to first rest in Christ. Sit with the Father. Then rise and walk victoriously in the authority Christ gave you at the cross. Then stand firm in your faith as you move through the seasons of life and the journey God has for you.
This is my deepest burden and passion. To equip Believers to thrive (not just survive) on the journey.
If I could do anything the rest of my life, it would be to encourage Believers to find God through the Truth of His Word, rest in their identity in Christ and then activate them in the Holy Spirit. Hopefully I have accomplished this mission in your own life. Maybe you’ve stumbled across one of my teachings and it’s blessed you or helped you through an event in your life. If not, keep reading. We will get there. If it has, please be sure to contact me and let me know how the Lord has used this ministry to teach and encourage! We all need encouragement from time to time.
